4 Things To Avoid When Making Videos
Go onto any site like Yahoo Answers and your going to see a lot of questions about YouTube. Questions like how to get more views, how to get your videos to the top of search results, how to be a YouTube partner, etc etc. However one of the most common is people asking others what they think of their videos. While some of these videos are good (I’m no video expert myself) most are well for lack of a better term crap. So here is a list of 4 things to avoid when making videos.

1. Out of focus, blurry, and shaking all over the place

Frankly I’m amazed at just how many videos show up that you can’t tell what’s going on because either the camera is shaking like the operator is having a seizure, or its blurry because it’s a cheap camera phone. If nobody can see what your trying to show there not going to stick around very long.

2. Deceptive titles

If your thinking of trying to trick people into watching your videos by having a misleading title, don’t. No matter how good your videos are, people are going to hate your video because the title has nothing to do with the actual content. And while you might get a decent amount of views in the short term, it won’t help in the long run. You won’t have as many subscribers as you could have, they won’t stay for very long, and they won’t bother watching any of your other videos.

3. Boring annoying rants that go on forever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever

I generally don’t care much for video blogs or vlogs. The problem with most of these types of videos is that there boring. Generally they have a person sitting there talking in monotone using a lot of word whiskers (umm, like, etc) for every other word. If your going to make a vlog don’t be afraid to throw some personality into it.

5. No effort

Nobody expects every video on Youtube to have the look and polish of some big budget Hollywood movie. That being said your video shouldn’t look like you spent less time making it then it would take to make a sandwich. I see this a lot with fan videos where they essentially took a 3 or 4 minute clip of a movie and simply added some music, in some cases they don’t even bother removing the original sound. There’s no editing of any kind to make it sync with the music or make it stand out. Frankly if it looks like you didn’t care why should anyone care to watch it?

Minecraft 1.9 Pre Release
Wondering when Minecraft’s 1.9 update is coming out, very soon. Very soon as in how long it takes to download the pre release just released today. Or if you prefer to wait for a non buggy version like 1.8 it should be out in a few days once the team at Mojang get player feedback to fix potential bugs.

What can you expect to see in the new update? Some of the new features include

Snowmen
Endermen won’t be able to move blocks around anymore
Mushroom biome with giant mushrooms and strange grey dirt
Mushroom cows (Mooshrooms)
NPC’s in villages (weird creatures with big noses called Testificate)
Swamp biomes that include lily pads and murky water

Also expect to see huge changes to the Nether including new mobs, there are at least two types. One is a fire slime similar to the slimes you’d find deep underground, but currently don’t drop anything. The other is some sort of fire demon thing that shoots fireballs and can fly around and drop an item called. There are also Nether dungeons, strongholds with mob spawners and some kind of mushroom thing called Nether wart.

If you can’t wait for the regular release you can get the pre release version of 1.9 from copying and pasting the link below
